- What is a Pet Playlist? An algorithmically created playlist based on your listening habits and your pet’s attributes, so it’s music you both can enjoy.
- From the desktop app, go to File New Playlist Folder and then give it a name. You can then drag playlists into it using the desktop app. You can neither create playlist folders nor drag playlists.
Pet Playlists is the newest personalized playlist function on Spotify. Just by answering a few questions about your pet, Spotify's algorithm will generate a playlist offering music both you. Log into your Spotify account and find Recover playlists in the menu on the left side bar. Then select the playlist and click Restore. After that you’ll be able to find that playlist on the app on all your devices again. An upbeat, electro-pop group specializing in a laid-back groove, Pet released their first album, Player One Ready, in 2004. Signed to London based Groenland Records, the band began work on album number two soon after. 2006's Rewind the Sofa Lady turned out to create an even bigger buzz, with its lead single scoring airplay on England's Xfm, and landing the intro music slot on John Peel's radio.

Aside from paying a flat rate for basically unlimited music every month and having the ability to download the app to any smartphone, one of Spotify's main draws is how easy it is to create and curate playlists.
Creating the covers for those playlists is a slightly different story. Some Spotify users have been openly critical of how the streaming music service's playlist cover selection works.
When you're creating a playlist, the cover automatically becomes a collage of the art for the playlist's first four songs. Spotify's desktop site lets you manually replace the cover so long you have rights to the image you want to upload. But on the mobile app for Android, the only way to change it is to rearrange your playlist's opening tracks.
If you don't mind having to switch the tracks in the first four positions of your playlist now and then, here's how Android users can change their Spotify playlist covers on the desktop and their mobile phones.

I have a playlist. In fact, I have a few of them — one for running, one for relaxing, one just for fun. But I never thought about creating one for my own pets until Spotify came out with its Pet Playlists. This new experience is where Spotify users get an algorithmically curated playlist based on their tastes and their pet’s character attributes.
Spotify Make A Pet Playlist
Just sign up, and pick your pet. It can be a cat, dog, iguana, bird or hamster. Then you answer a series of questions using a sliding scale — like is your cat more relaxed or energetic, shy or friendly and apathetic or curious. Upload a photo and insert your cat’s name. The program looks at what your cat may like and what you may like to create a playlist. It also offers a scientific playlist called Mellow Meowsic, which musicologist David Teie created for Spotify. Note: You do have to create your own human Spotify account for the program to create the playlist.
Dog Playlist Spotify
According to Spotify, each Pet Playlist includes about 30 tracks based on the listener’s preferences that their pet is more likely to enjoy given it’s created with their personality and characteristics in mind. Spotify consulted with musicologist David Teie, a cellist with America’s National Symphony Orchestra, who pioneered species-specific music and composed two albums of Music for Cats. He advised on the general likes/dislikes of each animal. While each playlist is algorithmically created, David’s expertise impacted how the algorithm was programmed.
